Illustration for the logo of EastDell Estates winery. Design and art direction by Bhandari & Plater. The illustration depicts a weathervane in the shape of a blue heron, birds that migrate through the vineyard’s ponds. This is the original version of the logo, which has been slightly altered for the newer labels. When I did the original, the original owners couriered me the actual heron weathervane that they were going to put up on their barn. Nothing like first-hand reference material!
Media: marker on layout paper, scanned and finished in Photoshop; in Illustrator the finished black and white image was traced and colour was added.
